We get it. Checking out a new church can be a tough. So before you visit us, here’s a bit of what you can expect.
If you’re worried about dressing up so you can come to church, well… don’t be. We have a casual, laid back environment where you can come as you are. Still want to wear a tie? Go for it! A t-shirt? That’s fine, too. You’ll be welcome either way.
You might wonder what kind of style our church is. Well, we’re into the beauty of many different worship traditions over the span of the Christian story. Our music is diverse, ranging from gospel, contemporary worship, to hymns written hundreds of years ago. We’ll pray prayers written thousands of years ago that may be followed by a song written in our community a few months ago. We are shaped by both old and new.
We believe there’s something powerful about gathering as a community and centering our hearts around Jesus and his story. So when we sing, pray, listen, and learn together, we do it with expectation, believing our practices of worship together are forming us into the people God created us to be. And yet in this hope, we still seek to be…
Knowing we’re all at different places of our faith journey, we try and make our gatherings a place that feel welcoming and hospitable for everyone. So when we do something together in worship, we try to explain and invite participation for those who want to join in.
