ABOUT ARLINGTON

Arlington Christian Church is a 120 year old congregation located on North Limestone in the East End of downtown Lexington. What began as a Sunday School gathering in 1899 quickly grew into a new congregation, and in 1905 their first building – Arlington Chapel – was built for $1400. The congregation continued to grow, and in 1924 they moved into a new, larger facility. In 1955, the present day sanctuary was finished and dedicated. The education wing (which houses Restoration Kids + Students) was completed in 1961. In the decades since, Arlington has continued to worship and serve in downtown Lexington. Several of their members (including their pastor!) grew up in the church, so our new home is not just their place of worship. It’s their history. We look forward to sharing their home, and hope to build on the foundation of their faithfulness for years to come!
