Friends,

Per Governor Beshear’s recommendation on Wednesday morning, we have made the tough call to cancel our worship gathering for this coming Sunday, March 15th. For the health of our community, we want to take every measure to be safe but this does not mean that we will cease to be the church. Here’s what we would love for you to do:

Remain hopeful. Even in taking precaution, we never want to succumb to panic and let ourselves be driven by fear.

We will be taking a break from our current sermon series, Reconciled, and instead filming a video message that we’ll post on Facebook and restorationlex.com that will address the spiritual needs of our community during this time. Even when we can’t physically gather in the same building, we can still gather around the same scriptures and prayers as we grow together in faith.

Continue on with your community groups as planned. Friends, we need each other! We need the love and care and support of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Even though we are forgoing our Sunday gathering, community groups are free to make their own plans.

Care for the spiritual needs of the greater community. We say this every Sunday: we believe church is a family that is called to live life in the Kingdom of God not just one hour at the beginning of the week, but day in and day out. This is an opportunity to do just that.

If we can pray for or serve you in the coming days, let us know! In the meantime, be on the look out for Sunday’s video message and questions on Facebook and in your inbox!

Let’s join in praying for our nation and in the pursuit to love our neighbors through the struggle!

In Christ,

Justin Rhorer
