When we started Restoration, we were passionate about being good news to our city – specifically the East End and NoLi neighborhoods. As spring arrives and Easter approaches, we are finally ready to hit the ground running!

Free Community Easter Egg Hunt

It all starts with our Free Community Easter Egg Hunt in partnership with the Dunbar Community Center. This Community Center serves kids and families in the East End Neighborhood with sports leagues, arts and crafts, tutoring, and other activities. The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 12:30pm, and will have free candy and eggs, free food, music, and other activities!

And we need your help! There are lots of opportunities to serve heading up to and during the event. What you may ask? Read below!

More Candy!
We’ve received a ton of plastic eggs, and we are thankful! Now we need more candy to fill those eggs up! Bring wrapped candy and drop it in the container in the front foyer of the church when you walk in, and we’d be grateful! (and see will the kids!)

Packing Eggs!
The Dunbar Center needs help putting the candy into the eggs. This would probably take 2-4 people around an hour or so. Any time between 4-7pm would be great! If you and a friend or two could help, email Christina here!

Handing Out Flyers!
We are planning on getting the word out through handing out flyers door to door in the surrounding neighborhood. This is also an easy way to get to know people in the neighborhood! We are meeting at 10am on Saturday, April 8th at Grace Baptist Church to canvas the neighborhood. With 10 volunteers, this should only take an hour or so. Wanna help? Email Christina here!

Easter Egg Hunt Volunteers!
And then there’s the big event! We anticipate needing 10-15 volunteers for set-up, cooking, egg-hiding, and helping out with other needs! Even if you aren’t serving, come hang out and party with us! Again, you guessed it – email Christina!

We are pumped to serve this great organization and love kids and families in our neighborhood. We hope you’ll join us!
